The leaders of Ethiopia and Eritrea are set to visit South Sudan on Monday. Prime Minster Abiy Ahmed and President Isaias Afewerki will visit South Sudan’s capital Juba to meet with President Salva Kiir.
The East African leaders will meet to discuss regional issues including economic and political cooperation. South Sudan’s Minister of Information Michael Makuei said the visit by the leaders of Eritrea and Ethiopia is important to strengthen relations between the three countries.
The visit comes just 24 hours after Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta and PM Ahmed visited Eritrea’s capital Asmara to discuss pressing regional issues. […..] CONTINUE READING
