OLF militia is still armed and operational – OLF Commander

Following the agreement among the government, OLF and Abba Gadaa, reports showed that many members of the OLF militia joined surrendered arms and joined camps. However, the reality is much far than the truth. Recent reports are showing that OLF militia posted in many areas including Western Oromia haven’t complied to the Abba Gadaa’s request and still are armed. This report was confirmed further during an interview on BBC with Western Oromia OLF Chief Commander Jal Mero. In the interview, Jal Mero discusses why he won’t accept the peace committee and how many members of the militia actually went to the camps.
