The ruling Oromo Democratic Party (ODP) that has been doing a commendable job so far in reforming Ethiopia’s politics did an about-face this week by becoming as cruel, inhumane and coward as TPLF. How can a government that claims to work for the benefit of the people throw out in the street 60,000 children, women and elderly people to build a park? Unless Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed puts an immediate stop to Oromia Administration’s despicable act in Legetafo town, he will lose all the credibility he has worked hard to build among the people of Ethiopia over the past year. It is a very sad development.
