Addis Ababa residents react to Emperor Haile Selassie’s new statue at the African Union HQ

Emperor Haile Selassie was the last monarch of Ethiopia. The emperor was one of the founding fathers of the then Organization for African Unity (OAU) and has been the symbol of Pan Africanism. During the annual African Union Summit, the leaders unveiled the statue of Emperor Haile Selassie in recognition of his role for founding OAU.
