I have fought for Sheikh Al Amoudi’s release – Dr. Tedros Adhanom

Saudi authorities released business mogul Sheikh billionaire Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi on January 27, 2019, after nearly 15 months of detention. Sheikh Al Amoudi has been an integral part of the Ethiopian economy as one of the biggest investors in the country, and his arrest was a big concern for Ethiopians. Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, among other influencers, played a major role by negotiating for his release. Dr. Tedros Adhanom, Ethiopian politician, academic and the 8th Director-General of the World Health Organization, also admitted his involvement to free Sheikh Al Amoudi.
