National Movement of Amhara (NAMA) released a public statement to announce the party’s stand on the recently established Administrative Boundaries and Identity Affairs Commission. NAMA agrees with the fact that the commission is a necessity due to the country’s current situation. It also promises better democratic procedures. But the party strongly opposed and criticized the parliament’s procedures on selecting members for the commission. NAMA doesn’t believe the appointed members represent Amhara’s interest and gave recommendations.
