Human rights violation in Ethiopia almost became a norm. Prisons and detention centers were the cores of such violations. Following the reform brought by PM Abiy Ahmed’s government, protecting human rights is the primary goal of any service providing institutions. Federal Prisons Administration is restructuring its administration to improve detention centers and prisoners treatment.
