Benishangul-Gumuz’s higher official resigned

Benishangul-Gumuz People’s Democratic Party took the longest in implementing the current political reforms. After a thorough evaluation, higher officials of the party were arrested and those who were found to have admitted their weaknesses satisfactorily were allowed to enroll in the new parties being formed. The latest news from the party that broke out yesterday was Chairman Ato Abera Bayeta’s resignation. In an interview with EBC, Ato Abera reported that the party lacks adequate management. The party will hold an emergency council today and its main agenda will be assessing the chairman’s resignation. The council will also hold elections to replace the chairman and other executive members.
