Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki have signed a joint declaration of peace today in Asmara, formally ending 20 years of hostilities between the two regimes.
The two leaders have agreed to resume travel, trade, and telecommunication, and restore diplomatic ties. They agreed that border decision will be implemented.
Last night, a state dinner was hosted in honor of Prime Minister Abiy at the State House in Asmara.
PM Abiy and his delegation left Asmara this afternoon after the two-day historic visit to Eritrea.
