China’s aggressive and relentless push into Ethiopia with over $10 billion in investment has resulted in an unprecedented expansion of the country’s apparel industry, according to Bloomberg.
The level of investment by China has turned Ethiopia into a giant garment factory, Bloomberg said, noting that within the past three years, it has built 4 major industrial parks in the east African country.
China seems to be happy with the strong work ethics of Ethiopians and the extremely low labor cost of $25 per month.
