It may be hard to believe, but the TPLF junta in Ethiopia arrests even Christian monks. These Waldeba Monastery monks who were recently released from jail after a huge outcry by Orthodox Christians traveled to Bahir Dar to visit and comfort several Ethiopians who were displaced from Beneshangul region after their properties were confiscated just because they are from Amhara ethnic group. They are currently taking shelter at Saint Giorgis Church. The TPLF military junta that is currently the de facto leader of the country under a state of emergency decree has detained Abune Abraham for giving shelter to the displaced Ethiopians.
