Ethiopia starts screening travelers for Ebola


Ethiopian authorities have set up a task force to screen travelers for Ebola. This task force will test all passengers traveling through the country’s border points for the deadly disease.

According to Dr. Amir Aman, Ethiopia’s Minister of Health, more than 4.5 million people who travel through the country’s border points have undergone screening. Dr. Amir said an estimated 30,000 travelers are screened on a daily basis.

There has been an outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo where up to 600 people have tested positive for the virus and over 300 have been confirmed dead. Ebola is highly contagious and can be transferred through bodily fluids. […] CONTINUE READING
