It is remembered that the Amhara National Democratic Movement (ANDM), a key bloc in Ethiopia’s ruling coalition, EPRDF, announced changes to its name and logo. It is now known as the Amhara Democratic Party, ADP. DW reported that Senior members and leaders of the party will be heading to the United States for a public meeting this coming Sunday.
In a press conference held yesterday at the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington DC, Ato Demeke Zemene, ADP member and director of diaspora affairs in the embassy, said the party will be holding a public meeting on December 2 in Washington. He added that Ethiopians who would like to attend are invited to the meeting.
The meeting will address the current political situation in Ethiopia, what has been achieved so far in the region and how the Diaspora community can help the society back home. It is said that the meeting will be held in different states in the United States.
