Aliko Dangote and Hailemariam Desalegn meet in Addis AbabaThe Dangote Group, one of the largest African industrial conglomerates, has announced its intention to double its investments in Ethiopia.
The announcement came after the meeting yesterday in Addis Ababa between the Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote, owner of Dangote Group, and Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn.
During the meeting, as reported by ENA, Desalegn reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to providing the necessary support for investments.
The meeting served to dispel the news circulated in the last few weeks in the African press that the richest man in Africa may stop investing in Ethiopia due to instability in some areas of the country.
