ANC SG Ace Magashule calls for resolve as tensions simmer between Ethiopia and Egypt

Tension is simmering between Ethiopia and Egypt as the African Union continues to seek a solution to problems caused by the building of the Great Renaissance Dam on the river Nile. AU Chairperson President Cyril Ramaphosa has been requested by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to intervene in the standoff between Ethiopia and Egypt about the building of the dam.
Yesterday US President, Donald Trump dropped a bombshell saying Egypt might bomb the dam if no solution is reached. Former Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Dessalen has spoken out against President Donald Trump's comments, referring to it as reckless.
The former Prime Minister tweeted that Ethiopians will never be threatened by his irresponsible statements, adding that history will teach everyone.
