Ethiopian gov't says there is no plan for ceasefire: Ethiopia-Tigray Conflict
The Ethiopian government says there is no plan for a ceasefire as they do not negotiate with insurgents. This follows former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo's call to the African Union Peace and Security Council to have the Federal government and the TPLF withdraw their troops from held areas. CGTN's Girum Chala speaks with Billene Seyoum, the press secretary of Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, about the ongoing conflict between the country's central government and armed groups of rebel fighters allied against it.
