Parliament approved establishment proclamation for Administrative Boundaries and Identity Affairs Co

It is to be recalled that the proclamation of Administrative Boundaries and Identity Issues Commission was waiting upon approval from the House of Peoples’ Representatives to be established. During the meeting held this morning, the house has voted on the establishment of the proclamation. After deliberating on the joint report presented by Foreign Relations and Peace Affairs Committee, and The Legal, Justice and Democratic Affairs Standing Committee, the house approved the proclamation by majority vote with 33 opposition and 4 abstentions. The commission will be solving issues related to self-administration, identity questions, and other similar issues. It is also is expected to solve the administrative boundaries and identity affairs that have been rising and will be working on restoring peace while resolving clashes, promoting peaceful coexistence and ensuring justice and rule of law.
