The Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), founded in 1975 celebrated its 44th anniversary at the Martyrs Statue in Mekelle yesterday. 10 Kilometer races and soccer tournament were held as part of the celebration. Former members of TPLF who split from the party 18 years ago also attended the celebration and the party gave recognition for their contribution, which was the highlight of the event. TPLF supporters around the world also celebrated the day. TPLF chairman Dr. Debretsion Gebremikael said that it is essential to preserve the changes obtained in the region in particular and the country at large.
