In yesterday's court session, the attorney general reported that it has finished investigating on three cases out of eighteen for the prosecution of Major General Kinfe Dagnew and applied for an additional ten days. The defense attorney's objected the application and asked the court to set bail. The defense also argued against the general attorney's involvement in the investigation. After hearing both sides, the judges overruled the defense objection and allowed the prosecution team ten additional days as it is beneficial to the defense too. The court denied the bail request because it is against the Ethiopian Criminal Code to set bail for a person suspected of corruption charges. The general attorney is allowed to pursue the case since the general attorney prosecutes all corruption charges and a period of limitation hasn't placed on the charges.
