Seyoum Teshome, activist and blogger, is known for writing volumes of political expose. The former Ambo University lecturer has been one of the vocals for Ethiopia’s politics and the biggest supporter of the Oromara ideology. This week he posted a detailed report about a supposed payment from Tigray Regional Administration and Endowment Fund for the Rehabilitation of Tigray (EFFORT) through Mbirr It Services to former spy chief Getachew Assefa, Abay Tsehaye and Sebhat Nega on his website Ethiothinktank.com and his Facebook page. Ato Seyoum also shared an email attachment showing the transaction. Mereja TV reached out to Mbirr main office to hear their side of the story. Even though both the communication head Eyerusalem Hadgu and Marketing Head Ethan Laub refused to give a statement on the record, the office sent us the original scan of the letter warning Ato Seyoum to take down the statement and publish a retraction. Mbirr also wrote in the letter as to why they claim the article is false.
