Addis Ababa City Administration to demolish homes belonging to 30,000 residents

Addis Ababa City Council had its regular meeting last May to evaluate performances for the previous nine months and to discuss critical issues in the city. Among the discussion, the council discussed measures to be taken for misappropriated land in the city. During the press conference led by Takele Uma, the Deputy Mayor announced that the administration has decided to demolish more than 30,000 illegally built houses in five sub-cities in Addis Ababa.
