It is said that Ethiopia has lost 7 billion dollars over the past 10 years only from bribery. The International anti corruption day was celebrated globally for the fifteenth time and for the fourteenth time in Ethiopia at the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Office (EIPO) today. It was said that, although it is known that corruption is a scourge to the development and unity of a country, efforts aimed at combating corruption in the country had been minimal. It was also mentioned that, the anti corruption conventions and legislations made for the eradication of corruption didn’t bring satisfactory results either. In order to ensure peace and stability of the country, economic and justice structures should be built on firm ground. In addition, systems that gradually but persistently diminish corruption and unethical actions should be enforced.
