Oromo Federalist Congress (OFC) is an opposition party in Ethiopia representing one of the largest ethnic groups in Ethiopia. Its members consist of prominent political figures in Ethiopia politics including chairman Professor Merera Gudina and Bekele Gerba. The party has been one of the opposition parties struggling peacefully in Ethiopia despite many hardships from the ruling party. It also has a large supporters base too. There were also discussions of merging with the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF).

After PM Abiy came to power, he was released on February 13, 2018. He has been actively participating in politics since then. He recently attended a panel discussion about Oromo language development and challenges. He emphasized the following points as challenges the language is facing.
