An Ethiopian passenger plane on Thursday morning skidded off the runway at the Entebbe International Airport, Uganda's Civil Aviation Authority says. The Ethiopian Airlines aircraft with registration number ET-ATV with flight number ET338 was landing at Entebbe International Airport after a regularly scheduled service from Addis Ababa to Entebbe, Uganda carrying 139 passengers. According to a statement released by the Ethiopian Airlines passengers and crew aboard were safely deplaned and were taken to the terminal and cleared normally through the regular clearance process and there is no damage to the aircraft. The airlines also apologized to the passengers and said that the reason for the incident is being investigated. Ethiopian Airlines is Africa's largest carrier in passenger numbers and is seen as the most successful airlines in the continent.
