It is to be recalled that following the latest reform lead by the Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and his promise to open a political arena dominated by the ruling party, he invited exiled opposition parties to be the country. Last month the prime minister held a meeting with members of 81 opposition parties he discussed ways of reforming the country's electoral system. Following that the Ethiopian General Attorney is counseling with competitive political parties and other beneficiaries on the amendment proclamation of Ethiopian Electoral Board. The meeting being held since this morning is anticipated to come up with significant changes to the proclamation as a sign of dawn to the electoral system. Competitive political parties and other beneficiaries are expected to voice their opinions on the matter.
