Bocconi University in Milan and Fondazione Nuovo Fiore in Africa have opened a partnership that will fund university scholarships for Ethiopian students in the 2026-2027 academic year. The foundation’s English-language scholarships page describes the awards as a joint effort to promote academic excellence and international inclusion, giving talented young people from Ethiopia a path into one of Europe’s best known universities for economics and management.

Fondazione Nuovo Fiore in Africa has worked for more than fifteen years on education and sustainable development projects in Ethiopia, the foundation says. Under the Bocconi partnership, selected students are meant to gain personal and professional training that they can later bring back to their home communities. The foundation frames the program as a bridge between Europe and Africa built on knowledge, solidarity and education. Its project listing for this scholarship marks the work as in progress for 2026 and notes a location link to Zway in Ethiopia, where the foundation has long run education activity.

According to the foundation, the awards will fully cover tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses, travel, and information technology equipment. The page does not list an application deadline.

Selection will be run with the school in Bole Bulbula, Addis Ababa, and with the foundation’s local educational partner, the foundation says. The stated goal is to identify talented, motivated and socially committed candidates.

The foundation’s contact address is listed at Via Pian Scairolo 14 in Pambio Noranco, Lugano, Switzerland, with the volunteer email [email protected] on the same page.
