Salem to Hyderabad bypassing Bangalore

I plan to drive from Salem to Hyderabad next week – NH7 seems to be best option, but I do not want to get caught in Bangalore traffic. It looks like there is Road that branches off NH7 somewhere near Hosur and connects again to NH7 after Devanahalli. Can someone please guide me on which would be best route to bypass Bangalore? Thanks.
