Millions of applications are available on platforms such as “google play store” and “app store” where people can download, install, and play on their mobile devices. Games can be developed for education, or/ and entertainment. In recent years, Ethiopia has witnessed the rise of application developers. Most of the applications are tailored for everyday use. However, Enechawet Games have launched a mobile game application that has broken the usual trend. The game titled “Mamo” (a character widely know in Ethiopian children’s stories) is the second game to be launched in Ethiopia officially. The developers included virtual characters, and lines Ethiopians can easily relate to and enjoy the experience.
