Ethiopia has been going through a few transitions since the appointment of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed last year. The reforms have been facing challenges solving problems and concerns that have been silenced for ages. Disputes over access to land and complex questions of identity and administrative boundaries have led to open conflicts and score-settling, often along ethnic lines.
