ADP appoints new president for Amhara Region

Amhara Democratic Party (ADP) held a meeting for three days in Bahir Dar city, capital of the region. Upon concluding the meeting, the party has elected new officials in place of those who tragically died in the attempted coup d’etat on June 22, 2019. After deliberation, the party nominated Ato Temesgen Tiruneh for region president appointment. During his nomination, Ato Tiruneh has been serving as National Security Advisor of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. He previously has served as Amhara Region Police Commissioner, Amhara Region rural roads construction agency director, Head of East Gojjam zone administration.
