During a press conference held in Atlanta, USA, Ermias Legesse announced his appointment as Deputy Chairman of Addis Ababa Baladera Council. In a video link conference, Eskinder Nega, founder, and chairman of the council explained as to how appointing Ermias, a representative outside of Ethiopia became a necessity in light of recent events. it is known that members of the Baladera council have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and terrorism in relation to the attempted coup d’etat on June 22, 2019.
Ermias Legesse, journalist and analyst, accepted the offer after much deliberation. He is currently working and member of Ethio 360 Media group. He used to work and gained the admiration of the public working for Ethiopia Satellite Television and Radio (ESAT) before leaving due to disagreements caused by recent changes in ESAT.
