The Ethiopian Airlines passenger aircraft, ET-901, departed the Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa en route to Nigeria. After the five hour flight, the plane carrying 393 passengers from Addis Ababa to Lagos, encountered bad weather during landing, and couldn’t land at Lagos airport. the aircraft managed to land safely despite the poor visibility. Reports show that the pilot’s swift action saved many Nigerians including former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The flight had to make an aborted landing at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
