Displaced people in Legetafo town in Ethiopia to file a lawsuit against the government

The Legetafo Legedadi city administration, located in Oromia Regional State Special Zone Surrounding Finfinne, under the Oromia region, demolished more than 3,000 homes in February 2019 leaving thousands homeless. The administration justified the action as taking measure on illegally built houses in the region. The controversy continued when the displaced residents complained not receiving the proper treatment from the government. The legality of the demolishment has been in question ever since and now the families have filed a lawsuit against the government.
