Tamagne Beyene’s speech delivering funds for displaced citizens in Gedio

Global Alliance for the Rights of Ethiopians, is a group based in the United States that has been known to advocate for human rights in Ethiopia. Led by artist and human rights advocator Tamagne Beyene, the group has been raising funds around the world for victims in Ethiopia for the last decade. Following the reform in Ethiopia, the group has announced plans to open its office in early January 2019. The group mobilized their international supporters to raise funds through the GoFundMe platform. Chairman Tamagne Beyene handed a cheque of 31 Million Birr to World Vision Ethiopia to help with the resettlement of the displaced residents of Gedeo. World Vision Ethiopia also donated 5.7 Million Birr for the same use.
