Aleme is a new Ethiopian comedy sitcom, prepared by Ezra Studio and airs on EBS every Thursday. The show created by Dawit Wasihun and Aster Getachew is set in a guesthouse called Aleme. The plot revolves around the lives of Aleme (guesthouse owner), his friends and the guests. The show emphasizes social, economic and political problems in everyday’s life along with suggestions.
Writers Bezuwork Waqetola, Yehuda Tsehay, and Tsehaye Yohannes have succeeded in creating characters each with a unique story to tell. Director Yared Admasu managed to creatively present the story. The show cast the most talented stars in the industry like Mekonnen Leake, Alemayehu Belayneh, Zenebu Gesese, Solomon Teka, Henok Alemayehu, and Ermiyas Esayas.
