The main road connecting Harara and Jigjiga has been blocked since yesterday. The route is seen jammed with trucks and transport cars till now. Eastern Hararge Police Commander Sultan Awel reported to DW that protesters blocked the route urging the government to solve the poor living conditions in the camps. Many displaced families have been staying in temporary camps in Harar for about six months.
