The proclamation draft for Administrative Boundaries and Identity Issues Commission was passed by the parliament on December 21, 2018. The proclamation has been a controversial subject and received strong opposition from Tigray region. During the recent Tigray Regional Council regular meeting, the house unanimously voted against the proclamation. The council’s decision didn’t sit right with Ato Tesfaye Daba, Chairperson of Foreign Relations and Peace Affairs Standing committee.
