Oromo Liberation Front’s (OLF) intentions have been questionable ever since the party reportedly failed to abide by the articles of the agreement they had with the federal government. OLF was in hot waters after the federal government held the front responsible for robberies and killings in Oromia region. The military took actions to apprehend individuals suspected of such crimes too. OLF Deputy Chairman Ararso Bikila discussed OLF’s stand on Oromia Broadcasting Network (OBN). According to Ato Ararso, OLF has chosen peaceful struggle over armed warfare, and its militias will enter camps soon to disarm. He also explained the recent conflicts with the federal government and commented on the negative competitive spirits among Oromo-based parties.
