BBC sat down with Ginbot 7’s Chairman Professor Berhanu Nega on the current Ethiopian affairs. Professor Nega reflected on the military forces dispatched at different regions in Ethiopia. He disagrees with the current situation in which there are heavily armed militias in the regions. He thinks, despite being difficult, the militias should put down their fire arms. Professor Nega described the former regime as a thieving corrupt government. When asked about whether he tried to reclaim his personal properties, he said that it isn’t his priority when more than Hundred million people are hungry. He also told BBC that he doesn’t have a plan to stay in politics for long.
