Major General Mohammed Esha and Brigadier General Mulugeta Berhe, who led the fight of the militant group, surrendered to ENDF. According to Director General of Defense Indoctrination, Major General Mohammed Tesema, after the officers retired, they joined the criminal group to prepare for battle. They were also behind the attack committed against the Northern Command. Many militias, special forces and police members who collaborated with the criminal clique are now surrendering and preparing to rejoin their communities under proper legal protection. The invitation for peaceful disarming and surrender still stands.
