The Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) has found a weapons depot that the TPLF has been using during a search by the army in the city of Mekelle.

Lieutenant Colonel Sadiq Ahmed said that leaders of the Northern Command of the defense force has no knowledge of its existence.

He said the TPLF junta was powerless to survive the law enforcement operation and forced to retreat leaving the ammunitions behind.

Lieutenant Colonel Sadiq further stated that there is a possibility to find out more weaponry depots in Mekelle and other areas in the region.

He confirmed that the army will continue the search to ensure that such weapons don’t fall into the hands of criminals.
