Growing up in an old farmhouse, I never appreciated our old farmhouse sink until I moved away and had to tussle with a standard-issue apartment-sized model. No more filling enormous pots beneath the tap. No longer could I stack dirty dishes to Seussian heights. Bathing medium-sized dogs was also out.
