Feet feels like they freezing?

For the last few weeks my feet will feel like they are freezing but they are warm to the touch. Alot of times when I stand on them I have a cold feeling shoot up into my foot. Does this have to do with being a diabetic? I thought with neuropathy was more a burning sensation.
