በኢትዮጵያ የትግራይ ክልል ውስጥ እያደጉ ለሚገኙ ፍላጎቶች ምላሽ ለመስጠት በአሜሪካ በአለም አቀፍ የልማት ድርጅት (ዩኤስኤአይዲ) በኩል ከ 152 ሚሊዮን ዶላር በላይ ተጨማሪ የሰብዓዊ ዕርዳታ እያደረገ ነው ፡፡ አሜሪካ በኢትዮጵያ ትልቁ የሰብአዊ ዕርዳታ ለጋሽ ስትሆን ይህ የቅርብ ጊዜ ማስታወቂያ የአሜሪካ ህዝብ ለትግራይ ህዝብ ያዋጣውን ጠቅላላ ድምር ወደ 305 ሚሊዮን ዶላር ያደርሰዋል ፡፡ በግምት ወደ 4.5 ሚሊዮን ህዝብ እርዳታ የሚፈልግ እና የተባበሩት መንግስታት ድርጅት የረሃብ አደጋ ሊኖር እንደሚችል በማስጠንቀቅ በትግራይ ያለው ሰብአዊ ሁኔታ አስከፊ ሆኖ ቀጥሏል ፡፡
The humanitarian situation in Tigray continues to be dire, with approximately 4.5 million people in need of assistance and the UN warning that there could be a risk of famine. This new funding will address life-threatening hunger and acute malnutrition, as well as provide safe drinking water, urgently needed medical and health support, and shelter for some of the estimated one million people who have fled their homes. USAID support will also provide protection for the most vulnerable—including safe spaces and psychosocial support for women and girls, case management for survivors of gender-based violence, training for social workers and community case workers, and programs to reunite children separated from their families.
ይህ አዲስ የገንዘብ ድጋፍ ለሕይወት አስጊ የሆነውን ረሃብ እና አጣዳፊ የተመጣጠነ ምግብ እጥረት እንዲሁም የንጹህ የመጠጥ ውሃ ፣ አስቸኳይ የህክምና እና የጤና ድጋፍን እንዲሁም ቤታቸውን ለቀው ለተሰደዱት በግምት ወደ አንድ ሚሊዮን ለሚጠጉ ሰዎች መጠለያ ይሰጣል ፡፡የዩኤስኤአይዲ ድጋፍ እንዲሁ ለአደጋ ተጋላጭ ለሆኑ ሰዎች ጥበቃ ይሰጣል – ይህም ደህንነታቸው የተጠበቀ ቦታዎችን እና ለሴቶች እና ለሴት ልጆች የስነልቦና ድጋፍን ፣ በጾታ ላይ የተመሠረተ ጥቃት ለተረፉ ሰዎች የጉዳይ አያያዝ ፣ ለማህበራዊ ሰራተኞች እና ለማህበረሰብ ጉዳይ ሰራተኞች ስልጠና እና ከቤተሰቦቻቸው የተለያቸውን ልጆች ለማገናኘት የሚያስችሉ ፕሮግራሞችን ይሰጣል ፡፡ .
