Ze
- Eye dialect spelling of the. usually of foreign accent.
- 1992, Tristan Jones, Adrift, page 257:
- Then one French-American sous-chef, still in his white kitchen gear, climbed down from the cockpit, where he had been inspecting the cabin, peering inside, murmuring, "wonderfool–wonderfool, ze workmansheep!"

Pronoun
Ze
- Gender-neutral version of the masculine "he" vs. feminine "she;" typically used in the transgender/genderqueer communities. See also hir.
Notes
- "Ze" is typically used (a) when a person's gender is unknown, and the user wishes to avoid assuming a gender, or (b) when the person is known to be neither male nor female in gender, leaving "he" and "she" inappropriate and potentially hurtful. "Ze" is typically advocated for amongst the genderqueer community. The singular usage of "they/their" can be used in place of "ze/hir," which is more polite than using "it" or "he/she."
