Addis Ababa’s iconic Taitu Hotel burned to the ground; it took firefighters over 1 hour to arrive even though they were stationed only 5 minutes away

The 108-year old Taitu Hotel was burned beyond repair (sustained 75% damage) while fire fighters stood idly by until it was to late, despite the claim by the government that the fire was controlled quickly.
