Protests erupted in cities across the United States ib Friday in response to the death of George Floyd, a Black man in Minneapolis, Minnesota who died while in police custody after an officer knelt on his neck until he was unresponsive.

The protests come just hours after the officer who was seen on video kneeling on Floyd's neck was arrested and charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter.

There have been two nights of violent demonstrations in Minneapolis and St. Paul that saw buildings burned and property damaged.
