Three people with knowledge of the matter told Reuters the fire spread across several floors. Two of those sources said Aramco operations continued, with staff working from home. Aramco did not immediately reply to Reuters.

The attack came after the Saudi-led coalition said it had struck Houthi fuel sites used to support missiles and drones. Coalition spokesman Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki posted on X that the targets included the Al-Sabaha central station in Sanaa, underground fuel reserves, and fuel berths in Hodeidah on the Red Sea and fuel sites in Sanaa and Dhamar. He said the sites fed an arsenal that threatens Saudi Arabia and commercial ships in the Red Sea. The coalition posted an evacuation map for Al-Sabaha dated October 13. The Houthis said fuel had been dispersed before the strikes. That claim has not been independently verified.

On Wednesday the Houthis vowed more attacks on Saudi airports and oil facilities. They said they had fired ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones at Aramco in Dhahran, at Riyadh airport and at a Riyadh refinery, and they called those sites legitimate targets. They urged international shipping companies, civilians and workers to evacuate Saudi airports and oil facilities, Reuters reported via Al-Monitor.

Debris from two cruise missiles intercepted over Riyadh injured four people, including two women, a man and a child, and damaged 15 homes, Saudi Civil Defence said, according to The National. The coalition said it intercepted a ballistic missile toward Riyadh on Wednesday, and loud booms were heard in the capital. King Khalid International Airport remains closed until October 17 after weekend strikes that Reuters said killed 13 people on Saturday.

Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet, in a statement carried by the official SPA royal news account @spagov on X, praised coalition operations against the Houthis and said the Kingdom will not allow threats to its security or to freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb. The Saudi Embassy in the United States posted Al-Maliki’s English statement on the fuel sites. The Ministry of Energy account @MoEnergy_Saudi posted that the Aramco administrative building in Dhahran was targeted and that no injuries were reported.

The fighting is also cutting aid. The Red Cross said hospitals across Yemen are struggling with a sharp rise in war casualties. The UN World Food Programme said it and its partners cannot reach more than 600,000 people in Taiz who depend on assistance, including more than 200,000 women and children. Saudi Arabia resumed its campaign after the Houthis swept down the Red Sea coast to Bab el-Mandeb last month.

Oil prices rose on Wednesday as traders weighed further risk to regional energy supplies. Dhahran sits near major Eastern Province oil fields and hosts a large Aramco operations center.

People living near the Aramco compound described a powerful explosion. “This was the loudest explosion I have ever heard in my life,” one woman told The National. Another resident said relatives closer to the site reported smoke and flames and could not go outside to check.

Al Jazeera reported that the weekend airport strikes killed 14 people and wounded more than 300, while Reuters put Saturday’s death toll at 13. An earlier strike on Abha airport killed two people, Al Jazeera said. Analyst Nawaf Obaid told Al Jazeera the “actual ground war hasn’t really begun” even as government forces push near Bab el-Mandeb. Al-Masirah, a Houthi aligned channel, reported four coalition strikes in Harib in Marib province.

Sources:

Al-Monitor / Reuters, October 14, 2026

The National

Al Jazeera, October 14, 2026

Coalition spokesman @CJFCSpox evacuation map

@CJFCSpox statement on fuel sites

Saudi Ministry of Energy on X

SPA Cabinet statement on X

Saudi Embassy USA on X

A Houthi missile strike hit a Saudi Aramco administrative building in Dhahran on Tuesday night and started a fire, Saudi and wire reports said.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

8

post-837754","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-ethiopian-news
https://i0.wp.com/mereja.com/index/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/cjfc-al-sabaha-map.jpg?fit=1579%2C1080&ssl=1
["GET
