Sales of phablets have <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2012\/03\/28\/the-phablet-is-a-hit-samsung-galaxy-note-sales-top-5-million\/\">taken off since the release of Samsung's Galaxy Note<\/a>\u00a0and an increasing number of companies now <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/01\/07\/2013-phablet-market-growth-284509\/\">have plans to release their own oversized devices<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/motorola\">Motorola<\/a> will not be one of these companies, however.\u00a0Jim Wicks, Motorola's design chief, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcmag.com\/article2\/0,2817,2417822,00.asp\">revealed in an interview with <em>PCMag<\/em><\/a> that the company has adopted the philosophy that \"better is better\" rather than \"bigger is better.\" The executive noted that <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/google\">Google<\/a> has been spending the past eight months on next-generation Motorola phones and has \"seen positive feedback and collaboration.\"<br \/><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/04\/16\/motorola-and-google-plan-to-fight-against-the-rise-of-phablets-443669\/?utm_source=more-link&utm_medium=feed\" class=\"more-link\"><em>Continue reading...<\/em><\/a><img src=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/~r\/TheBoyGeniusReport\/~4\/TKp-Xu8Y0OI\" height=\"1\" width=\"1\"\/>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Manufacturers have continued to blur the line between smartphones and tablets with screen sizes on smartphones reaching as high as 6.3-inches.
