{"id":745104,"date":"2013-04-04T17:35:51","date_gmt":"2013-04-04T21:35:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bgr.com\/?p=414625"},"modified":"2013-04-04T17:35:51","modified_gmt":"2013-04-04T21:35:51","slug":"windows-8-is-no-vista-but-still-considered-polarizing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.com\/index\/745104","title":{"rendered":"Windows 8 is no Vista, but still considered polarizing"},"content":{"rendered":"<center><a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2013\/04\/04\/windows-8-vista-comparison-414625\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" width=\"608\" height=\"363\" src=\"http:\/\/boygeniusreport.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/12\/windows-8-34.jpg?w=608&#038;h=363&#038;crop=1&#038;resize=608%2C363\" class=\"attachment-feed_normal wp-post-image\" alt=\"Windows 8 Vista Comparison\" title=\"Windows 8\" \/><\/a><\/center>We've long said that it's <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2012\/12\/31\/windows-8-praise-vista-comparison-unfair-276901\/\">unfair to slap Windows 8 with the dreaded Vista comparison<\/a> and now we have some data to back it up. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/just-how-much-do-people-hate-windows-8-7000013319\/\"><em>ZDNet's<\/em> Ed Bott<\/a> this week took a look at Amazon (<a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/q?s=amzn\">AMZN<\/a>) customer ratings for several versions of <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/tag\/microsoft\">Microsoft's<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/q?s=msft\">MSFT<\/a>) operating system and found that while <a href=\"http:\/\/bgr.com\/2012\/12\/06\/windows-8-criticism-android-ios\/\">Windows 8 has its share of haters<\/a>, it also has even more people who\u00a0enthusiastically\u00a0support the platform. Overall, 50% of Windows 8 users gave the platform four or five-star reviews while 40% gave it a one or two-star rating. This contrasts very favorably with Vista, which received one and two-star ratings from 50% of users while receiving four and five-star ratings from just 37% of users.
